Wednesday, February 28, 2024 Employers want workers with training in certain areas but are unwilling to provide the funds to train people in those areas. If you are required to pay to acquire training to obtain a job then you should be compensated for that training. The training benefits the company more than the worker if the worker is not compensated for that training. I hate talking on the phone. I hate filling out profiles on websites to apply for jobs. I like it best when I can send them my LinkedIn profile. I do not want to input the same information on various sites and have to remember a password for each site. These companies think they need your information and a password for their site just to apply for one job. I should be able to send you my LinkedIn profile without signing up for another website. Monday, February 26, 2024 It's Monday. Again. I do not trust people. I have trusted the wrong people too many times to trust people. I do not believe people when they say they will do anything. I believe there is more to life than a building in which people meet once a week claiming to be religious but only using their religion as an excuse to treat people like they are superior to anyone just because they sit in a building once a week. Life is about discovering yourself, but it may not always be easy when people tell you it's wrong to be yourself. I remember when I was figuring out my LGBTQ+ identity. I told people I was gay. People I met at school. I did not tell them when I first met them because I was still discovering my identity. They acted as though I was a different person because I told them I was gay.
