getting over

Today I'm getting over

The things I've been through

Over these months of isolation

Seclusion has made me think of 

So many things I never imagined.

Can you see the path before you 

After years of remaining in the same place?

I'm here alone in an unfamiliar place 

Watching the calendar on my phone

Shifting from month to month

I'm getting over my sorrow 

By pushing forward with everything else.

I'm trying to imagine life after

But all I see are the tears from 

these recent years.
